Blackstar Crypt

Outside Jana’s store is the village square which has several statues of Aislings, one of each class I noted, there is a curious gated off section of the village. This was the glimpse I saw so long ago! Could these be the saviours the diary mentioned?

***My research later on revealed lady Topic’s findings on this, that the Empress named Ealagad would have people fight for her amusement, which is a rather barbaric idea in itself. Perhaps he thought those memorialised were saviours as they stood up to her?

The gated off section, this holds.. What can only be described as a crypt of sorts. The Blackstar crypt if you will. A sense of foreboding came from the crypt, yet I ventured inside, with several companions.

I'd ventured here before but now there was someone else here too.

Inside the entrance there was a woman named Marsha. The information she gave us, was that when the wizard of Ealagad’s court long ago used a spell of concealment, this crypt appeared in the most recent days, around the same time the portal first brought us here.

Ever since then, the townsfolk had been doing their best with magic spells and enchantments long passed down to try and keep the darkness inside at bay. Now however, it was too much. She was offering rewards to Aislings such as us if we could defeat whatever lay in wait.

Deep within the crypt, screams and howls of monsters unimaginable could be heard. Protectors had ventured into the crypt, with few returning. Deep in the bowels of the crypt was a phantom of a Battle Empress. The very same who we fought before.

I was amongst one of the first groups (once the entrance was finally revealed and the village visible) to enter the dreaded dungeon of Blackstar.

Draego, xutikalx, Entice, Oledom, Kasuka, Aurane, Eternalty, Spatula and Zerowlineard were my companions in this exploration. After surviving to the very bottom of this dreaded place, the last thing we faced was..

The Shade of a strong, beautiful and regal woman who tried to kill us! She was fierce in battle, screaming at us that she would enjoy our deaths! I'd faced her before but now she fought with renewed vigor. She seemed quite.. Well, crazed. She was consumed by madness. This must be Ealagad whose name crops up throughout my exploration.

Curiously, after our first trip, we returned with some strange relics in our packs. I’ve included a memory of these, and I myself now carry a powerful stave which rivals that of the artifacts that were recovered during the excursions into Plamit.

Dark Star - bard stave

Blackstar Whip - archer weapon

Star Crafted Staff - summoner stave

Blackstar Night Claw - druid weapon

Defiled Ruby Saber - one handed gladiator weapon
