Kourika's Poem

We walked through the woodlands on unseen paths
They were all sure our love would not lost
You put your arms around me and my heart skipped a beat,
I looked down to find air beneath our feet.

I felt safe in your arms
Away from all harm
I said that I loved you and wanted you to know,
You said that you loved me and would never let me go.
I stand here alone now so far away from you,
You're so far away, out of my view.

I long for your arms and the safety they bring
I listen for your voice but hear not a thing
Thousands of miles keep me from your charms

Travelling for Deochs would not put me in your arms.
I long for you oh so much
I miss you, and your loving touch
Far away from me...
